oh sweetie....wish i could zip up there for a long weekend and paint your room. i've got loads of experience with paintbrushes. :) good for you for trying to make the best of it. love the idea of peaking at the neighbors.... my sewing room use to be in the front part of the house...with a great view of the cul de sac. i miss being able to spy on everyone. ;) the neighbors behind us are not nearly as entertaining.

I think this is excellent. Every writer needs "a room of one's own." This one sounds serene and comfy, and nicely scented. :)

My neighbors here in suburbia aren't nearly as entertaining as yours, Moonbeam, I'm sure. If there's crack in use, it's behind closed doors. Ok, that doesn't sound right. I like the monitor support idea. I will certainly do that as soon as I get a flat table. I have this computer table my daughter got from a friend and it props the monitor up a good 8 inches off the desktop, and it's not adjustable. I'll have to take pictures.

I can certainly relate, especially with spying on the neighbors. ;)

Here's a handy hint for your monitor. Get a sturdy cardboard box, and cut it down so that when your monitor sits on it, it's at eye-level. You can reinforce it with duct-tape if you need to. Decorate it with a collage, or paint it or do something to make it prettier, put your monitor on top and voila! No more neck-ache.
