Daughter of Mrs. Hip-Slick-And-Cool, I am.

Today I spent the day helping my mother transfer over her technology from Verizon to Comcast. Everything’s bundled now, including the phone, and it’s saving her some money while giving her two new DVR boxes and Comcastic fast internet. This woman amazes me. She’s got a rocking hot computer, wireless all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier, and wireless router. While I was there, a neighbor came by and talked to her about their condo newsletter. Apparently my mother writes the cover story because they love her humor and her style.

So do I.

  2. Would you please have your mother call my mother? Mom still has WebTv which is useless for anything other than e-mail. Their technology is so out of date that she can’t even look at her bank statement. I’ve offered her an old computer of mine but she insists she doesn’t want to learn anything new and that just drives me nuts! Good for your Mom!

  3. Thanks, Mermaid and Bev. Mom is totally cool. We spent some time trying to reload Quicken on her new laptop and at one point I thought I’d figured it out. I was so psyched. She said, “My daughter, the hacker.” LOL. She likes her new set up. She realizes she couldn’t have done it herself, and I totally understand why she likes to keep up with things. My dad was always on top of technology, and I think for my mom, it is her way of staying young and alive. I hope I’m that hip when I’m 88. Who knows what technology will be like then?

  4. Every time I hear about this amazing lady I am more impressed. I also want to be like that when I’m 88.
