The Poor Girl’s Frappucino

Filed under: Random — Little Miss @ 6:30 pm

018I’m on a very tight budget for a while, so Starbucks frappucinos are out of the question. Probably better for my waistline anyway, but today after going to the chiropractor I was craving one. So I remembered the bottles of Starbucks Mocha fraps in my refrigerator and thought I’d try mixing it in the blender with some ice.

First try really didn’t taste very good. Added about a tablespoon of cold coffee. Still not good. Added more ice, and some powdered generic Mocha frappucino mix. Here’s the result. Still not very good, but I tried it anyway. The whipped cream was the best part of this drink. Oh, and it makes a pretty picture.

Meanwhile, my youngest daughter brought me home the real thing. She’s a very thoughtful daughter. 😉

  2. That looks soooo good! I’ve tried making coffee drinks at home, and my daughter and I stumbled on one we like very much. We put ice coffee in the blender with some confectionary sugar. Poured over ice, it’s very good. 🙂

  3. @ Moonbeam: Thank you.

@ Wendy: That’s a good idea. I often have leftover coffee from morning. I’ll try that tomorrow.
