Cheery Smells

Filed under: Random — Little Miss @ 5:06 pm

imageIt is so gray and dreary outside. I thought I’d show you what’s been burning inside, keeping me feeling cozy and, well, sleepy. My daughter got me these candles from the dollar store for Christmas and they sure last a long time. I love the feeling of lit candles on a gray day.

Now if I could just stay awake long enough to get my editing and rewriting done.

  1. This photo is so nice, I’d call it beautiful. I love candles too (not just religious ones. I hope you get your work done. I’m having the same problem. You Are Not Alone.

  2. That seemed kinda spooky. What I meant was that I have a lot of copy editing to do and I’m tired.

  3. So beautiful and serene! I have to create a space like this, but I’m so bad at it. Did you end up sleeping, working, or both?

  4. @ Wendy: I knew what you meant. Not spooky at all. Candles are great, and I’ve just learned through these two that cheap, dollar store ones are just as good as the expensive ones. Although Crabtree & Evelyn are my favorites.

@ MB: It’s easy to do – just copy what I did. The bowl in the middle was a package set my daughter had but didn’t want. I took all the little candles out of the box and just set them in the bowl. I ended up working, not sleeping. The last couple days my daughter has been babysitting the neighbor’s little puppies (you would LOVE them… a baby black longhaired Chihuahua girl and a fluffy Chihuahua/Yorkie mix boy) and they’ve been arriving at 6:30 a.m. I haven’t been going back to sleep after that.

  5. Okay, I’ll try it! The puppies sound ADORABLE! Maybe I could puppy sit for a living. That way, Tom won’t gripe and I’ll get my fix each day! 😉

  6. You could definitely puppy sit for a living. Although, I’ll caution, you’ll be up and down chasing them for a while until they are potty trained. That’s my daughter’s job now. I will post pictures of these as soon as I can. They are too darling. Even funnier is how their little bodies slip and slide across my hardwood floors. The one boy puppy is so fluffy and so short to the ground that it’s great to get him running all over – he ends up dusting my floor. ROFLMAO.
