Some People Should Not Be Allowed To Write

Filed under: Random — Little Miss @ 4:18 pm

Remember Wendy’s post here where she vents about some idiot who cannot write and who’s so-called writing she has to deal with? Well, I’m in the same boat right now and I want to scream, jump off a cliff, or better yet, swipe the computer keyboard away from the person doing the writing and hit them over the head with it. I’m supposed to make sense of some convoluted mish-mash of someone’s ADD-affected thought process and turn it into something actually readable. Yes, I can do this. Yes, I get paid for it. But boy, does it get frustrating when I read stuff like this:

“you are goaled with involving yourself…”

WTF? I think I may goal myself into barfing all over myself.

  1. It’s so funny (not really)that you posted this, because today I had another melt down over something I’m copyediting. “goaled with involving yourself” makes me sick as well. What a blowhard. Gawd, these “writers” are just clueless.

  2. Some People Should Not Be Allowed To Write

I would love to be able to write like an expert but I know that I’m not cut out for it.

Perhaps I was cut out to read?

    Cheers.

  4. I work in a the writing lab at a small college and I am always amazed by the horrible writing these darling little college students bring to me to correct. This blog entry really spoke to me. šŸ™‚

  5. @Princessofsomething: I can only imagine the writing you see on a daily basis. You have my sympathies. šŸ™‚
