Miscellany

Filed under: Random — Little Miss @ 9:21 am

Yesterday was my mom’s 88th birthday. And she just got her driver’s license renewed. Rock on, mom.

The sun is out. It’s cold, but not raining. This is a good thing. We’re driving to Seaside, Oregon, on Thursday for the weekend, which is about a 4-5 hour drive from here – not including stops for lunch and potty breaks. The beach will be fine. The drive will not. Me and my body are not looking forward to that.

Today I have my weekly weigh-in at Weight Watchers. I’m nowhere near as far along as Joan, but I’m following her lead. Go Joan!

I’ll be working more today on my website and writing my first e-mail marketing campaign. Saturday I finished up my “About” page and managed to summarize my resume into 10 bullet points. I still have tweaking to do on the website, but it’s coming along nicely.

Oh, and I have to work on business cards and get some printed out to take with me to Seaside.

Other than that, I have nothing much. Blah.

  1. I didn’t know you were going to Weight watchers. That’s great. How long have you been going? I have lots of ideas for snacks and such if you are interested.

  2. My daughter and I joined March 3. So, this is my fourth week. So far, 7.6 pounds (not including whatever the scale says today.)

Oh yes! Definitely interested in snack ideas and such. My problem, I’ve noticed, is that when I get depressed I tend to NOT eat. I can go for hours and hours not eating. Then I binge. Or my metabolism stops completely. Then I don’t lose weight. But during Easter week, and two restaurant trips, I still lost 1.4 pounds!

  3. Congratulations! That’s great for the first month. My daughter did it with me too. She couldn’t go to the meetings because of her job but she lost 40 pounds and is back to being a size 2. I’ll be happy to be a size 10.
I e-mailed Lucky, who just joined, some ideas. I am going to forward that e-mail to you. Good Luck!!
